Nevius Therapeutics

I worked with Nathan Nevius to create a brand identity for Nevius Therapeutics, his clinical massage therapy practice in Baltimore, MD. Nathan specializes in chronic pain management and wanted his logo mark to convey trust and compassion. It’s important for Nathan that his patients know they are being heard, as so many chronic pain sufferers know, often the pain they feel is difficult to explain and attribute to a single issue. Conceptually Nathan wanted his logo mark to be based on Fascia, the connective tissue that wraps around and muscle tissue. These fascia fibers wrap around muscle tissues at approximately 30º, which is reflected in the angles of the hexagon shaped logo icon. For the N and the E of Nevius, Nathan wanted to use lowercase letter forms to remove some of the sharp angles from the wordmark, so I created bespoke glyphs for the N and E to visually soften that part of his brand identity.
