MORE (Mid-Atlantic Off-Road Enthusiasts), is the premier mountain biking and trail-building advocacy club in the Mid-Atlantic region of D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. MORE’s mission is to build an inclusive mountain biking community and to increase access to natural-surface trails throughout the region for all trail users. The below images were created as part of an effort to document MORE’s recent successes in growing their community. This deck also serves to help MORE’s park liaisons—the organization’s regional park representatives—to help better inform their community partners: land managers, state and local political representatives, and community leaders, about the beneficial economic impacts of mountain biking and shared trail use, giving examples of the gains seen by other communities when they embraced mountain biking as an economic generator.
