Experimental Photography
I’ve been trying to break the camera on my phone for a long time. Maybe break is a misrepresentation. Find it’s limitations is a more precise way of describing what I do. I find the camera phone (iPhones for me) to be really great, but they do have limits and I like to find and exploit those limits to make atmospheric images. The camera doesn’t exactly glitch, it does what it’s supposed to do. However, in the right circumstances an image can be created that captures a scene but also captures the limitation of the technology. And the technology keeps getting better, and I have to keep trying to find creative ways to find the device’s new limitations with each with each model upgrade. And lucky for me the limitations continue to exist and create interesting pictures. These images are taken straight from the camera, no effects or editing of any kind.
